Abstract Submission and Presentations (Poster / Oral talk)

Abstract submission

Abstracts (not exceeding 250 words and 1 page) can only be submitted after registration for the meeting via the website. After receiving the registration confirmation, please send your abstract by e-mail to abstract-dgp2024@uni-bonn.de.

Please indicate if you would prefer to present a poster or to give an oral presentation. In case we cannot grant you an oral presentation, we will provide you with the opportunity to present a poster. Please also indicate whether you are willing to give an elevator pitch (i.e., a 3 min oral presentation), should your preference be a poster presentation or if we cannot grant an oral presentation.

Abstracts need to be submitted before July 14th, 2024. After this date, it will not be possible to submit or change your abstract. You can choose to apply for an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Participants will be notified by July 31st, 2024, whether their abstract has been selected for poster or oral presentation.

Abstracts are automatically withdrawn if the submitter fails to register and pay the registration fee for the conference by the indicated deadline.

Abstract format

All abstracts should be formatted according to the template which can be downloaded here. Your abstract must be prepared in English, which is the official conference language.

Oral Presentations

Please, pass your presentation to our staff at least 3 hours before your session takes place in Power Point format. The slide size 4:3 is recommended.
The presentation time is 12 min talk + 3 min discussion, and for the elevator pitch 3 min without discussion.

Poster Presentations

We recommend that posters are 84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high (A0 size).

Posters can already be mounted in the stucco hall on September 2nd at 8:15 am. Posters will be available for viewing throughout the annual DGP conference. Presenters should be available at their posters during the assigned poster hours (to be announced). Due to fire safety regulations, only 60 persons can be in this room at the same time. We will explain during the conference how this will be ensured.

Best posters will be awarded a poster prize (to be announced).
